Vince Zampella, a Gaming Pioneer, Dies in an LA Traffic Collision
Vince Zampella, who helped create the immensely successful first-person shooter Call of Duty, has tragically died in a vehicle crash in California aged 55.
The tragic news was confirmed by Electronic Arts, the parent company of Respawn Entertainment, a game studio he co-founded.
The influential game designer lost his life when his car crashed and burst into flames on a motorway in LA on Sunday, as reported by.
"This is a devastating loss, and we stand with his family and friends, his family, and all those touched by his creative vision," a spokesperson for Electronic Arts said.
