Disregard the condition that international journalists are still prevented from unfettered access in Gaza. This entire context, apparently, should be permitted to obstruct of Eurovision’s cherished spirit of unity.

The Pageant Proceeds While Ignoring Staggering Tragedy

Eurovision reaches its seventieth anniversary next year – roughly two times the average life expectancy of an individual in Gaza at present. The broadcast will air, but it will find it impossible to reclaim the camp joy it historically embodied.
