Space-Based Photographs Show Iran's Naval Forces and Nuclear Sites Struck by Joint US and Israeli Attacks.

Multiple American and Israeli attacks has according to analysis destroyed or damaged a minimum of eleven Iranian naval vessels starting Saturday, new satellite images reveal, with rocket sites and enrichment plants also coming under fire.

Pictures of the southerly Konarak naval base and the Bandar Abbas facility, which sits on the strategic Hormuz Strait and is home to the main command of the Iranian navy, reveal smoke billowing from several ships on Monday and Tuesday.

Maritime Fleet Sustained Major Losses

Included in the vessels destroyed was the IRINS Makran, the country's largest naval vessel which had been used as a unmanned aerial vehicle platform. Satellite images indicated black smoke rising from the vessel which had been stationed at the Bandar Abbas naval base.

Analytical assessments suggest that no fewer than five ships at the port were "hit or sunk". Pictures of the southern part of the port reveal plumes ascending from the IRINS Makran, while additional ships are visibly harmed, with one of them visibly ablaze.

Over at the Konarak base, photos reveal multiple stricken vessels, with intelligence reports identifying damage to a half-dozen warships. Images taken on the start of the week also show that multiple facilities at the base have been demolished.

"For a long time the Iranian regime has harassed global maritime traffic," an American commander declared. "Today, there is not a single Iranian vessel at sea in the Arabian Gulf, Hormuz Strait or Sea of Oman, and we will not stop."

A number of vessels reportedly destroyed may have been obscured in satellite images by cloud or smoke, or targeted offshore, and have not been conclusively proven. Additional information suggested that an Iranian vessel was sinking near Sri Lanka's territorial waters, resulting in a rescue operation.

Missile Installations and Atomic Locations Hit

The destruction of Iranian missile bases and the stopping nuclear weapons development were declared as additional objectives of the military strikes. Aerial imagery also showed impacts against the southerly Khorgu base and north-western Tabriz facilities, and at the Konarak base, where rocket warehouses and fortifications were hit.

At the Choqa Balk-e UAV facility west of Kermanshah, widespread destruction was observed to storage buildings, underground facilities and UAV launching apparatus.

Destruction was also seen at a radar site at the Zahedan airbase in eastern parts of the country, close to the frontier with Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Perhaps most notably, the latest wave of attacks have apparently hit sites at the Natanz complex – long said to be at the center of Iran's enrichment efforts. An international watchdog stated that the affected structures were used for entry to the site's underground nuclear plant and that "no radiological consequence" was anticipated.

Broader Consequences and Assessment

Defense experts stated that the offensive appeared to have "largely neutralized" the Iran's naval capacity to sustain conventional attacks using its biggest vessels. Nevertheless, it was emphasised that Tehran retains the option to launch unconventional attacks at sea through the use of unmanned aerial vehicles, mini-submarines and its so-called "clandestine network" of oil ships.

The overall scale of the destruction caused to Iran's defense facilities has yet to be fully assessed, with attacks reportedly ongoing. Photos also indicates widespread damage to the command center of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in the city of Tehran.

A significant number of non-military structures also are reported to have been hit in the capital city and across the country after the hostilities began. Reports of deaths from inside Iran state that many hundreds of non-combatants may have been lost their lives in the attacks.

With the conflict ongoing, monitoring of aerial photographs will continue to document the changing scope of damage.
