The City of Angels experienced widespread festivities after the Los Angeles Dodgers clinched a thrilling seven-game World Series championship. Fans across the globe joined Angelenos in celebration, marking the initial time in a quarter-century that a franchise has secured consecutive championships.
Celebration Parade Attracts Massive Crowds
Los Angeles area events featured a downtown parade on Monday morning, a ticketed rally at Dodger Stadium, and spontaneous parties across the city.
Social media videos depict thousands of Los Angeles residents packing downtown streets, many displaying homemade signs and team flags. The team was seen traveling proudly on a open-top bus through the crowds, raising the championship trophy high.
“I’m already thinking about the next championship we’re going to achieve this,” Shohei Ohtani stated through an interpreter.
