Iranian Forces State Strike on American Facility in the Kingdom of Bahrain, As Part of Regional Military Operations.
Tehran reports attacking a American military facility in Manama, as Iran launched operations throughout the Middle East in response for a "massive" and continuing offensive against it by the US and Israel.
Huge plumes of black smoke were seen rising from an area near the headquarters of the American Fifth Fleet in Bahrain's capital, Manama. The scope of any damage is not yet known and the US has not commented.
Airspace Engagements
In other parts of the Middle East, the UAE, the State of Qatar and Kuwait - which all house American military installations - reported they have shot down incoming projectiles in their territorial skies.
In Doha, the Qatari Ministry of Defence stated it had intercepted a number of projectiles seemingly aimed at the al-Udeid air base, the largest American base in the Middle East.
Iran's Declared Retaliation
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard declared it was attacking American facilities and interests as part of operation "Truthful Promise 4", in retaliation for the strikes on Iran launched by the US and Israel on Saturday morning.
That initial attack - executed at around 06:15 GMT - has so far targeted locations associated with the Tehran's leadership, with President Trump urging the Iranian people to rise up against the leadership.
Regional Fallout
In Israel, air raid sirens sounded nationwide after the Israel Defense Forces reported it had detected an incoming Iranian missile barrage.
The defence ministry of the United Arab Emirates said in a statement that the nation has been subjected to a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".
"Emirati air defenses responded to the missiles with great effectiveness and shot down a number of missiles," it added.
It said missile fragments fell on a neighborhood in the capital, causing some structural damage and fatalities.
The US Air Force is stationed at Al Dhafra Air Base, to the south of the Emirati capital, along with the Emirati Air Force.
