Devoted supporters of Ariana Grande are calling for that a man who breached a barrier and seized the actress during yesterday's Wicked: For Good premiere be taken into custody or expelled from Singapore.

A widely shared clip shows the person identified as Johnson Wen pushing past camera operators and lunging at Grande while the cast proceeded down a promenade accompanied by supporters.

Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo quickly pulled the surprised performer away from Mr Wen, who was observed being removed of the gathering by security officers.

Mr Wen shared on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "let go after being taken in", though legal records indicated that he was set to be present on the following morning. It is unknown if he was faced legal action.

Pattern of Disruptions

This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Troll Most Hated", has invaded a celebrity gathering. His Instagram profile contains clips of him disturbing other celebrity events, including breaching the performance area at Katy Perry's Sydney performance in recently and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers performance in the area last December.

"Steps should be implemented taken against him as this is clearly a punishable act," commented an Instagram user, in a message to a video Mr Wen posted of his behavior.

"Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" a different Instagram user remarked.

Fans Show Disapproval Over the Star's Safety

Many followers blamed Mr Wen for "causing further distress" Grande, who had discussed suffering from PTSD after a terrorist explosion at the finale of her spring 2017 concert in Manchester, claiming the lives of 22 people and harming many.

"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" wrote one more comment on Instagram.

Some fans also faulted security officers at the gathering for not being adequately prepared; while others called for online networks to remove Mr Wen's uploads.

Reaction and Premiere Information

In videos spreading on the internet, Grande looked shocked when she was approached by the individual. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed consoling her while Mr Wen was escorted away by security.

Grande has not issued a statement on the incident, and the premiere activities carried on uninterrupted.

Hundreds of Singapore fans had queued up to meet the performers of Wicked

Hundreds of attendees had gathered in a mass of green and pink at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific launch in a Singapore venue, including some who had queued for as long as a significant duration before it began.

The motion picture, to be premiered on 21 November, is the sequel of a dual version of the well-known Broadway and West End show Wicked, which revolves around the unlikely relationship between two distinct sorceresses.

The production itself is a adaptation of the classic story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who acts as the benevolent sorceress Glinda, was dressed in a light pink glittering gown at the event while Erivo, who portrays the wicked witch, wore a sleek black dress featuring roses.

They were accompanied by fellow actor Jeff Goldblum.

The first movie, Wicked, was the most successful motion picture of the previous year in the UK, and scored a dozen Academy Award nods, earning a pair for best costume and production design.
